8 Group dynamics: groups and
teams In this chapter I consider the
different definitions of what makes a successful team, of how it should work
and what are the expectations of outcomes. At Orbis we consider that the
key to successful global teams is the availability of qualified and sympathetic
leadership and the emergence of the facilitator - a key resource as catalyst and
trouble shooter. We also warn of the dangers of
treating teamwork as unform global concept. There are enormous differences in
both the theory and practice of
group dynamics and teamwork. |
